For almost twenty years, bonsai has been the greatest passion of Rodrigo Lima, the founder of **Bonsai Den Haag**. What once started as a relaxing hobby has now grown into a life’s work in which he continuously works to bring his bonsai skills to a higher level. His victory during the prestigious NTC 2019 was an important milestone in his career and strengthened his drive to share his knowledge and love for bonsai with others. Under the name **”Bonsai Den Haag”** Rodrigo works daily on shaping and caring for bonsai, with a vision that every bonsai is more than a tree in a pot; it is a living work of art that tells its own unique story.
From vision

As an architect of potted trees, Rodrigo approaches each bonsai project with the same care and attention as an architect designing a building. Each project begins with a concept, carefully considering the natural lines, shapes and possibilities of the tree. His goal is always to exploit the full potential of each tree, taking into account its unique characteristics and growing conditions.
